Joy in Pain: A Multidisciplinary Mind-Body Support Project for Caregivers

Target Group: Caregivers’with chronic pain

This program integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with exercise based interventions, supported by professionals, to holistically address caregivers' chronic pain (physical, psychological, social, spiritual). It cultivates positive emotional resilience, sustainable exercise habits, and pain self-management skills, empowering caregivers to "joy in pain ' thereby improving the quality of life for both caregivers and the elderly.

 

Project Objectives and Strategies:

Intervention Strategies 

The program primarily intervenes through two orientations:

1) Exercise Orientation

2) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. By addressing both physical and mental health simultaneously, this dual approach is believed to help enhance the quality of life for caregivers and the elderly.

Four Service Levels

1) Personalized Pain Management Services

2) Psychological Support for Caregivers

3) Physiological Support for Caregivers

4) Community Education
